oh, sweet, judgment is doing my absolute favorite thing that narrative games do, and that's formatting itself based on a season of television. yes, absoLUTEly give me an intro and a title sequence to every chapter, and an opening and closing monologue. a "previously on"??? heavens, mrs. robinson, are you trying to seduce me?
#judgment#rgg#rgg can say this is an original ip all they want#but it's set in kamurocho#and you're fucking with the tojo clan#and ako is still the mama at earth angel#this is 1000% a yakuza game#but seriously i saw that previously on intro to chapter 2 and made such a high pitched sound of pleasure#such a smart way to build a unified structure into an episodic story#definitely something the yakuza (kiryu?) games could have benefited from#this is already vastly better plotted than any of kiryu's investigations#where all those previous games INTENTIONALLY dumbass because of kiryu??#yakuza 4 and 5 were definitely the smartest plotted#and the least kiryu-centric#anyway judgment rules so far

i am actually. still thinking about pairing off date and ako.
i dunno maybe like… he and new serena mama, they try their thing, but it doesn't work out? and he's bummed out so he's like, ah, well obviously i can't go to new serena to talk about this…
and he somehow lands on earth angel. maybe he thinks like oh, they're all gay there, they'll be way more receptive to a man being emotional about a breakup. straight man at the gay bar.
and then like, whoopsie, he and ako hit it off. he gets all flustered over her and she gets flustered that he's flustered because, wait, really, he isn't gonna flip out?
i just think she deserves a man!!!
